    Sharp AR-M455 frame erase??

Is there a way to "delete" the blank border that comes out of the copy? This particular customer needs edge to edge use of this machine. I looked in the service manual and couldn't find it. Maybe someone knows a trick...

    Thanks,
    J

    Not possible mate.
Basic laser theory (that you should know) is that borderless print/copy is not possible on any Laser device.
You have 2 choices...... go get yourself a cheap inkjet machine that can do borderless, or print on a larger size paper, print at about 105% original size, then trim the edges back manually.

The margins can be minimized down to about 1mm, but don't do it man! Do you like the code H5-01? If you reduce the lead edge void to anything less than 2mm you'll get continual fuser jams. That's what the voids are for.

There have been at least 5 Sharp machines in my territory that some genius tried to remove the voids. It will jam and jam, then jam some more. Don't even think about it. The only thing to do is put the voids back to 2mm minimum. Preferably 3mm at the lead & trail, 2mm at the sides. Don't let the customer talk you into doing something this self-destructive.

Or go with wazza's suggestion: a $75 inkjet or a reduced image. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Did not know that about laser machines ( the basic theory ). Im still kind of a newbie. I just figured maybe there was a simulation or something in admin I could get rid of That blank border. Never know until you ask. Thanks, I don't think I will be changing any of those settings they will just have to live with it...

Oh ya these particular customers copy hundred year old documents and need the borderless copy... So a printer probably wouldnt work for them. Thanks,
