    MX3100 front usb harness

Does anyone know where sharp hid the harness to the front usb port in the parts book?
I know I should be ashamed of myself. Strangely though, I am not.

do you mean the usb socket on the front edge of the ops panel? if so it doesn't have a harness, it appears to be just the socket part no.38 section 5

There is a harness that plugs into the socket. Just can't find it in the parts manual.

Section 5 item 102 looks like it connects to the USB PWB item 38.

        DHAI-4268FCP1 - BM HV C 85 OPE harness

Seems to be the part number you are looking for. Good luck.

Thanks alot Bil. I was working out of an old version of the manual that only went to item 47. Should have thought to look for a revised version. But sometimes Sharp does hide things where they don't belong. Thanks again

You're welcome. Glad that I could help. You are so right about the Sharp manuals though. Things seem to get lost in the translation from Japanese or just left out!!! Of course that is better than the ones that are still in Japanese, those are a lot of fun to work with!!!! LMAO

Is there something wrong with the USB plug? I know on the MXM series you can have either the front or rear USB plug enabled but not both at the same time!!!! Go figure, right.

I hate to admit it but I got in a hurry when I was removing it and didn't realize it had a clip on it and pulled the wires out. Rookie mistake. I stuck the wires back in but haven't been able to test it yet. Hopefully I won't have to get a new one, but at least I know where it is now. Thanks again.
