L6-10 is an LSU/Polygon motor failure. Run sim 61-01 to confirm if polygon motor has gone bad. Your information is wrong regarding rotary cassette.

Basically, you're up for a new LSU, or the polygon motor unit if you can find one.

    LSU part number is DUNT-6984FC22

wazza is right, or course. The failed test means that you need to replace the laser unit. I would be very surprised if there weren't two dozen posts on this subject. Try searching "L6-10". =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

That part number will also work, its just an old number. That part suits AR280, 285 & 335.

Basically, order whatever you can get. Its an old series, you might have trouble getting parts easily.

          Good luck mate.

You can try to take the polygon motor out and spin it by hand. I have done this a couple of times to get them to continue working. Worked a few times, if you can't find the part. Make sure to clean the mirror surfaces.

              Good luck.

wazza is correct, but id like to add something. You can get the "new" type of LSU from sharp. Its important to get the new type because the motor isnt what goes bad inside the LSU its the contorl IC on the LSU control PWB. The new rev part number is DUNT-6984DS52, and I verified that you can still order it from sharp. Hope this helps.

If you cant get the whole unit just replace the polygon motor and youll be fine. part number for that is RMOTP0910FCZZ.
thats what we do because the unit is $390 and the motor is bout $100. never had a new one go out yet.

Same here Repn. We always replaced the LSU motor with the new style and they have never failed since.

Topic is about a ARM-280 which is the same as ARM350/ARM450 also known as the Tiger series.

The entire LSU for the ARM350/450 are differnt part numbers. The Polygon motor is the same. I would assume it's the same # in the ARM280
