F1-11 is not a common code at all (its normally F1-08 or F1-43 on this finisher), but run the grip motor sim test (GRPMOT).
Also, take the front cover off, trick front door switch and watch internal operation to see if anything foriegn is blocking the staple unit/gripper.

I would take a stab in the dark as well in saying the staple units are out of sync, possibly causing the gripper arms to hit something instead of being in their free movement area.

Send me your email address. I have alot of info on this finisher in regards to mods & bulletins that you will need if you have a few of them in the field.

Toefur, I can send you the same bulletins if you want. Also make sure the firmware for the FN10 is upgraded to 01.05.02.

F1-11 occuring on a FNX6/FNX7 is completely different to F1-11 occuring on an MXFN10.

Run the discharge motor sim test (BLT_M) in sim 3-3. Trick the front cover open and watch for any abnormalities inside.
Possibly have motor lock trouble or discharge unit home position sensor problems.

Make sure the firmware is up to date, for both engine & finisher.

I'll send you the bulletins as requested for the FN10, but they won't really help with your FNX6. I'll send a few others on the FNX6/FNX7 as well.

Thanks, Im looking all the docs over right now. So far, Ive replaced all the associated parts (minus the driver board) with discharge section.

Thanks to wazza for the bulletins. Having read one of the bulletins it indicated that F1-11 comes up when the last set of copies are ejected. I resolved my F1-11 issue by POPO the MFD and updated firmware to 01.05.02.

I have to agree with you. Ever since the latest FN10 firmware came out, we have all noticed alot less problems with this finisher in general. When returning to certain machines with extra parts etc etc, there have been virtually no finisher jams/trouble codes compared with earlier versions.
