Good point Nachoman, but I've always found the C-Dragon/Venus belt inside bead to be a different material to the other MX belts. They tend to not crumble apart, more of start to crack in one spot, then eventually the belt surface tears at that point, with obvious toner spraying out each rotation past the cleaning blade.
The other series MX belts have a different belt material and yes, the bead can become a little fragile after a long life.

Jay hasnt mentioned the page or day counter of the belt unit, so I'm guessing its old anyway.

I think the rubber footing on the outer edges of the belt crumbling away, is more of a problem with inside contamination rater than paper dust, if it came back soon after I'd say a new belt is needed.

If the exact same problem came back after only 50K, you either didnt clean it all out properly or the paper they are using is too dusty, causing excessive dust buildup around the inside bead of the belt. I see this often. Clients using cheaper paper need more work on their machines than those using good quality stuff. The paper dust on a C-Dragon or Venus belt causes this issue all the time. You would have seen it when you dismantled the belt unit last time.

    Hi everyone.

I cleaned out everything and it seemed to go away and I got an extra 50,000 prints and then came back. I don't have a parts manual does anyone have the part # for the Transfer kit.

    Thanks

    Jay

Well, a new Belt unit is always an option. It sure makes like easier when you have one of those.

I'll get over there one day. You are welcome Down Under as well anytime. I'll put some Roo on the barbie and have a fridge full of coldies.

I would have never thought about that. I am glad I did not read your other post to carefully or else I would be buying a new belt.

You must be very careful with the belt once it is off the frame. It is very easily damaged. For example... as it is quite big, it tends to fold under its own weight, causing a bend mark on the belt surface. Once this happens, you might as well get a new belt kit, because that fold mark cannot be removed out of the belt surface. It will appear on every 4-5 pages.
Just be careful if you haven't done this before. Firmware being sent.

I got it, I will order some kynar powder from katun since I can't get it from sharp and take the belt off. It looks pretty easy. Thanks for helping I now its early their. They should make the firmware available to everyone it is really easy to install it and the last firmware you gave me solved a lot of problems.

On the C-Dragons/Venus series, you must you Kynar powder on the belt and Stearic Acid on the drums.

The firmware has been upgraded a few times since that version you requested a while back.

You will need to take the belt off the frame (as I said earlier) to give everything a good clean/replace. If you miss even just one small lump of foreign material, the issue will still be there, just in a different spot on the page.

Can I use Zinc Stearate on the tranfer belt or do I have to use kynar?

You'll need to remove the transfer belt from the housing to look for foreign matter on the inside of the belt or on the idler rollers. Once the front cover is off the transfer belt unit, there are two screws to remove and it will scissors to allow you to remove the belt. wazza can provide much greater detail than I can. It's been a few years since I've seen one. =^..^=

Wow you really know your machines. When I go there later I will give it a try. I think the machine has the latest version of firmware. I think you sent it to me a few months ago via ftp. I took out the transfer belt but did not really know what to look for. Fixing machines for over 20 yrs I have learned not to mess with what I don't know unless I want to spend some money on parts.

    Thanks
