Hi,

Two questions. My client just installed an MX-M260.

1- For scan destination email addresses, can it be setup with more than one email domain? IE: we have some users with an @acb.com address and some with an @123.com address. It appears as though only one domain is working.

2- When printing to the fax function, how do you enter in information for the cover sheet? Or can you?

The global address search will only work with one domain. You can send to any e-mail address. You have to have the SMTP settings entted in the machine and manually enter the destination on the MFP. The cover sheets in the PC Fax driver will only autofill information if you are using a destination from the saved phonebook. You cannot manually fill out the cover sheets.

Just so I am clear: I can only enter in email addresses from a single domain, however any email address can be entered manually... Correct?

Johnathon, I'm not sure on this model, but on the larger color models, you can set up senders in a list so when you walk up to the imager to send an email, you can choose the user that it shows it's coming from. It would be a setting on the SMTP server whether or not it will allow mail to be sent from a different domain.
I'm pretty sure you can enter text & create cover pages, although it's been a while since I've played with that.

You can store any address in the address book. The Global Address Search will only search one domain

I guess I'm a little lost. Not sure where the LDAP is coming into play. It sounds like you want to be able to send email from 2 different domains. Is that the question ?
