    Sharp 6200 color registration

Been having an issue with registration on 2 different 6200's. I bring them into spec using the adjustments in sim 50 and after the machine calibrates itself they are off again. I tried the auto registration sim and after it completes its still way off....am I missing something?? Ive followed the service manual to a tee with no results. Ive also searched the IDNC service site and found nothing. Any help is appreciated.

I'd check the drive gear on the primary transfer unit, cracked/damaged gears will do this (its the gear in the y1 kit)
Where the heck is my spring hook?

Totally agree with Nachoman. The drive gear on the Primary Transfer Belt Unit can become cracked, causing this exact symptom. I actually had one yesterday, I knew what to look for, straight away found cracked gear. be careful not to loose the pin through the drive shaft.
Also a torn transfer belt surface can do this. If the belt has been reset or is quite old with high rotations, the edge of the belt can develop a small crack which catches on the cleaning blade, slowing the belt rotation by a split second.

It was indeed a broken drive gear on the primary transfer belt. I had two go in one week. Thanks guys!
