AR-BC320 install transfer assembly message on display

I'm currently working on a AR-BC320 Sharp copier. Theres a message on the display saying install transfer assembly even though the assembly is installed and the covers are closed. Would a simple reset clear this message or should I be looking for a problem on the transfer assembly or inside the copier?

There's a counter reset in sim 24-? somewhere. Don't forget to do registration adjustments in sim 50-22, 50-20, and color calibration.

    See your manual. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

If the machine is displaying 'Install Transfer Belt Unit' you must check if there is paper wedged between the transfer belt unit connector & the connector in the machine. It is common for a jam on the belt to slip backwards if the belt is removed, then once the belt is re-installed, the paper wedges between the 2 connections. Any paper wedged into the plugs will cut off the communication between machine & belt unit.

Also check the connector on the machine side is sitting straight, with both spring-loaded sides working. If the plug is not sitting straight, the transfer belt connector will miss the connector on the machine, even though the belt will actually install fully.

'Install Transfer Belt' is different from 'Replace Transfer Belt' or any associated TK or TT maintenance message.

Or the mounts that hold the belt unit down to the cleaner (small tabs) on the connector side, can break causing the cleaner unit to hang, and the connectors to not match up.
Most likely Waz is right about the paper caught in between.
Where the heck is my spring hook?

My experience with that Nachoman, is if the tabs break off and the cleaning blade/WTB is hanging down, there will be waste toner everywhere inside the machine. A broken/damaged WTB is easily diagnosed due to the mess it leaves. You are right though.... the connectors will not line up very well, maybe even have waste toner inside the plug (seen it before).
