    AR-M237 error Codes F9-88 and F6-80

I have been scouring forums and sharps site for information and help to resolve this problem.

I have an AR-M237 that is error coding F9-88 and F6-80.

I have read up in the manual, reseated the fax board, gone in and out of this machine and can't find the problem.

    help Please.

What is the version ROM on the FX7? If you have the 4.01 it might cause this problem. You should have the 2.xx version. Had a similar problem with the MXM260 and was using the wrong ROM version (uses same fax)

    Good luck.

Yeah, I'm with Bill on this one. Firmware upgrade everything first. If that fails, remove the fax/print boards and bootup without them installed.

With a fax error and a print error, the problem might be with the mother board.

The engine firmware will update the fax board. Make sure you do the print board also as it's a separate firmware update. If it has a DSK, the print board firmware is included in it. The manual says it can be done serial, but it can't. Network, FTP etc.
          Hope that helps !

Some of the problems caused by failure of the battery on the Fax-board. There is an 'Andromeda' Fax Battery replacement manual. You can check the battery voltage with the plus probe on JP4 and the minus probe on the minus (-) terminal of C257. If it is OK the battery voltage is 3.0V of more.
