    AR 337

I have a AR 337 that a friend wants me to set up to print I think I have found the correct driver.
And can Ping the machine but I can't get it to print.

Seems like there was a trick to setting the machines up but I cant recall

I have been going through Add printer and selecting the IP port.

The most common mistake on Cougars is to have the SCSI cable connected to the wrong SCSI port or not having that port switched On. If I remember correctly, in sim 26 you'll find a place to enable/disable each SCSI port. They're labelled A & B.

There also is an extremely high failure rate of those print cards. If you can find one, it won't be cheap.

    More in a minute. I'm searching.... =^..^=

Only one additional recollection. It was common to have the print card lock up or "F9-00". Most of the time the print card will reset. You must disconnect the network cable, run sim 14 (reset), exit service mode, power Off/On, once the machine has completely booted up (~3 minutes) reconnect the network cable.

I seem to recall print settings of 'lpr' and 'RAW'. =^..^=

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

If i remember correctly you had to use LPR

In the Port Tab configure the port your using and choose LPR printing, Enable byte counting and use a queue name of lp (lower case)

God im glad i don't have any more of these under contract. Hate that document feeder.

I'm disappointed in you guys. The Cougar printed on port 10001 instead of 9100 for some unknown reason. Change it in the ports tab.
        Hope that helps !

Yes, it's at the same IP address. the port is almost like a subaddress. You can have multiple ports on that address.
            Hope that helps !
