I took over the service of this copier this year and the copier had 187,155 copies on it. I changed the developer, and replaced the drum and drum blade. The copier is having a problem where the developer tends to be falling off the developing roller and into the paper path and getting on the copies. The problem seems to mainly be happening in the front side of the copier. The copy count now is 211,949. Any thoughts to what would be causing this problem? It doesnt appear to be coming out of the bushings on the developing unit and the main charge is dusted up each time. Any help appreciated, thank you.

If the charger unit is getting toner dust on it, that eventually leads to dev pull.
The process unit has been modified (from Feb 2006 production run), with different seals, stirring sheet & sub-blade. These mods prevent the issue from even starting to spray toner onto the charger & then pulling dev.
Check the serial number of your machine.

Did you mention what the problem is?
By the background information I infer that it's some sort of image quality issue. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.

It would be dev loss, leading to copy quality issues, caused by toner spray/dust on the mc grid. I too think that is what he's saying.Comment

Is the machine level front-to-back? Does the dusting on the charger only happen on the machine front side as well? The curling mylar can knock the dv off the mag roller but it seems like they usually curl in the middle rather than on the ends but still worth checking.Comment
