    [Error Code] F3-12

Can anyone tell me what a F3-12 code on an AR-M550 sharp could be?

    F3 12 Tray 1 lift-up trouble

open from back and check if tray lift motor is ok. remove it and check if shaft is straight. Had same problem where user has placed too much paper in wrong position and shaft got bent.

Don't overlook the easy things, like paper crammed into the lift drive coupler. And you need to do a simulation 15 reset. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Another cause of this is generally poor loading of the tray. A big bunch of folded over paper at the bottom will do it, so will a busted lift motor unit, paper empty sensor assembly or pwb in the rear frame.
