Sharp FO-DC525 prints full black copies. Both toner and drum have been replaced. All contacts for these two items have been checked. Replaced High Voltage PWB, same problem.

Yes....print-outs are black, too. There does not appear to be any image hidden behind the black, either. Going to try with the NIC removed, but don't expect that will make much difference......but ya never know.....more mystical things have been known to happen.Comment

Perhaps the drum shutter is not opening properly? Most likely primary charge loss, though. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

If drum shutter was not opening properly, drum wouldnt be exposed.
If primary charge loss is occuring, drum wouldnt be charged in the first place.
...... correct......????
I'd be reseating all harnesses, LSU cables, checking pins on HV board, checking DC board etc etc.
Possibly a frame issue not holding drum & toner cartridges in correct position, so always being charged??Comment

You may have a problem with the stupid front guide that has connections to the HVT. I call it stupid because it sucks to replace as it has a big spring in it. When the machine is giving you the black copies first do a full reset and see if it fixes your problem. (you know power on stop) If it does fix it then replace the main PWB and get a surge protector on that machine, that is a known issue! If the full reset does not have any affect then replace the HVT and the stupid front frame piece. You may not need the HVT because the board has three jumpers for each contact and you may have one or more not contacting them good enough. I am so glad not to have to deal with these anymore! Well you said you replaced the HVT so I should have read your post twice! did you try an all clear? I had a bunch of these do this to me. You could fix it by doing an all clear, but it would come back a few weeks later. After you replace the main controller it would go away for almost six months, but still come back. After the customer put the machine on a half decent surge protector, AND YOU REPLACED the main controller Again! THEN MY ISSUE WAS RESOLVED!Comment
