[CQ] Black copies 1st side on MXM450

2nd time customer call me about black copies when doing 1 sided original. He also told me that the copy lamp didnt turned on.

Went there but could not replicate the problem...copier was working fine.

Checked both connectors and pins between controller and scanner pwb.

Charge is working fine, i saw examples of the black copies and they had lead, trail and side erase on.

Im thinking about changing the harness between controller and scanner before changing pwbs.

Any suggestions ?

Intermittant black copies can be caused by a damaged/faulty ribbon cable on the scanner pwb. Check continuity of the cable.
Check the ends for bends or burnt connectors.

I'd also be reseating the main scanner cable.
