Jamming out of the upper letter tray. Watching it while feeding out of the tray the tray lowers goes up then lowers again then jams. Is the lift motor getting weak and just replace it or could it be something else. Thanks t.

That sequence of tray lifting then lowering is usually a problem with either the paper empty detect sensor or paper empty arm being broken. A visual check & sensor check in simulation of the paper feed unit will show the problem.
Its like the machine has not detected that there is paper in the tray.
Also, what is the jam code you're getting? -
