got a mxm850 with a blurry spot bout 3 inches in from trail edge. goes straight down the page, doesn't matter what the paper size is. always in same place, has any seen this before.

In theory, if you have a copy quality blurry line issue near trail edge only, there is possibly a problem at the lead edge area. That would make the lead edge just about entering the fuser. Make sure the transfer belt is rotating smoothly & has no cracks/wear marks, make sure the belt cleaning blade underneath is OK, check the fuser upper entry plate (part of the KC maint kit) as this often gets toner 'pitting' on it, catching on the lead edge of the paper, therefore pausing the page for a split second as it passes the drum. The trail edge is near the drum as the lead edge is in that area.

Even though I'm pretty sure the cause is something I've listed above, samples are the best way of diagnosing issues.
