paper ejecting to far out of finisher,not stapling all the pages. not jamming.no codes.cleaned everything...stumped.

The most common cause of this is a sticking guide as the staple motor moves past. It may have a small amount of grease and paper dust causing it to stick randomly. Just clean where the pivot point is and you should be fine. Also clean the rail that the staple motor runs on. I used to grease it but not anymore.

While there, take a look a the stp tray sensor for a groove. (sect 18 item 7)
Seen this a few times on machine over 1 millon copy , paper get stuck in it while moving toward stapler. Not causing any jam but skewing enough not to get caught by the staple.Comment
