Yes, you go into system setting, log into administrator settings (PW: admin), device settings and there is a box to check for disabiling the punch unit. Sharp web site says this is caused by a damaged wiring harness but doesn't give the part number just references the SM. I will look to see if I can find the number for you.

    Good luck.

Is there a way to disable the hole punch and still use the finisher?

    Sharp MX-2700n ( F1-33 error )

I know what the manual says, Finisher punch shift motor trouble, and I runthe SIM3-3 and test FPSM and the error goes away for a while. But it always comes back. It has a punch installed and a MX-FNX1 finisher. It says to check the punch shift motor and it does punch OK. I do not have a service manual for the Finisher Punch Unit to find the part numbers and trouble shoot this. I have not see this machine before, but I got everything working except this. I get all the good stuff.

Anyone seen this and what to do to fix?

    Thanks
