    [Misc] Sharp MXM503

My friend called me today her new sharp says no paper when she's trying to print...
I haven't a clue on sharps, I'm canon and konica trained.
    I'm sure its a setting.
    Thanks!

The application is probably trying to print to the bypass tray; she can either put paper in the bypass, or press Job Status, highlight the job in queue, press Details and select a different paper source.

My guess? The driver or document is set to some non-standard paper size, or just a paper size not present. Usually it's A4 or A3 in the USA. Or maybe the enduser has selected a specific media type, but has not identified that media type for a tray on the MFP.

This is a difficult concept for the more careless endusers.
"Why can't I use just the 'regular' paper type?"
"Because you're not using just the 'regular' paper type. It's cardstock. It must be set to 'heavy' to fuse properly."
"... but on my other machine I never had to select paper type."
"Could you print onto cardstock on the old machine?"
"Yes ... but the toner kinda wiped off."
"If you had selected 'heavy' it probably would have fused better."
"So I have to select 'heavy' every time?"
"No. Only when you're using cardstock."
" ... but I never had to select paper type on the old machine."

and round and round we go. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
