    [Error Code] Sharp AR-M277

Error code L4-01(main motor not turning), I have reset trouble code but comes back after the machine cycles approx 10 seconds. I have inpected the gears, drum, toner and dev. they all turn. I have never seen a main motor go bad, is it possible?

IMHO, possible but unlikely. More likely, something is the drive train is slowing the main drive motor because it has excessive drag.

I would remove the back cover to hand rotate the main drive motor. Then I would remove various driven components until I find the one that is dragging down the motor. The fuser could cause this. The developing unit could cause this. You won't know until you start hand turning the drive motor. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I did check these items and rotated them, but I will check again. I am thinking the Fuser.

      Thanks for the reply

Are you running it in simulation mode when it gives the code or normal warm-up. If normal warm-up, will it run in Sim 25-1 without coding out?

Sharp ARM277 Fusing Unit compatible with AR271FU?

Hi, I got confussed when I bought a fusing unit AR271FU, it stated that it compatible with AR-M277 machine, but when I open the box, the fusing unit is totally different from the ARM277, can someone already tried to use this AR271Fu to ARM277 machine? Thank you.
