    Sharp AR336 F1rst F1-14 then L6-10

Customer called this AM with F1-14 code on AR336. I told her to check alignment between finisher and machine in case it was moved. Also to open top cover of finisher , check and close. After realigning finisher customer came back to phone and said now had L6-10 code.
Can this be resolved on this series machine by opening laser unit and manually spinning polygon motor , cleaning unit and reinstalling. If not , will replacing polygon motor (CMOTP0854FC31) most likely solve problem? Also can the LSU fan motor (NFANP0053FCZZ) cause code as well? Any help is appreciated. Frank/ActionPhotocopy

What kind of a finisher is it, if its the short model, that code may mean the elevator tray is out of sync, the L6-10 code, most times replacing the polygon motor will fix it, but that old of a machine, may need a whole LSU.
I have seen older ones where the mirrors came un-stuck inside them.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Thanks guys. I guess I will stop at customers office and check LSU for a loose something or other ( I hope). If no luck I'll order the motor which is about $160 delivered vs $440 for entire LSU. I just thought I would check with someone else in case the particlar model or series had something peculiar to it related to laser code that was not standard with other models.
By the way Paul, I'm a believer and have the SM + PG but they don't always offer the solution to a problem. If they did there would be no need for sites like this one. You can see from my post that I was aware of what the error code were related to but was looking for something you don't find in the manuals. Frank

I usually end up robbing lsu unit from parts machines laying around my shop, buy $100 parts machines , need plenty of scanner motors and scanner pwb's as well, thankfully this series is about gone, although I have made good money off of them.

When I got to customer's office machine was working. Customer said she turned it on in morning and there was no longer an error code. Tested by running bunch of copies and sim61-1. Frank

Frank, sorry I have not gone to the location where machine is yet. Frank, that code WILL come back, sometimes you can unplug the machine for a while and it will work but rest assure that laser is going.

Thanks for the message Phil. If you should get a chance at your convenience to be at that location and you have that machine you can let me know and I will pick it up . I don't mind taking a chance and meeting you there so you are not going there twice if you don't go there that often.
Business has been a little slow and I spend a lot of my semi-retirement time watching movies from Netflix or running by the bay or around a nearby park. I hope everything is going well for you. If you ever need a assistance with something and I don't me fixing a machine let me know and I'll be glad to help out. Frank
