    Sharp ar 201 +L 6-10 code

    HI,
Customer called with code,I saw online that it refers to poly motor.I took laser unit home tonite, and motor seems free and in tact.
I have to go back tommorrow,is there anything else I need to be aware of that may give me L6-10 service code?It goes into code about 10 seconds after power up.
    THANK YOU, ANDY

HI for L6-10 you must change the polygon motor and if you are unlucky may change all the laser unit but usually with the polygon motor it is ok

Yep, it's always the mirror motor. Most times I'll just call the customer to tell them I've got to order the part. It's fairly common on Sharps & Ricohs.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Definitely laser motor and its a fun job especially getting the screw on back side of laser unit. Its fairly common though an after you do it a few times its pretty easy.

you have to replace the polygon motor inside the Laser unit...
