    MX-3110N Simulation

It must be the end of the day on Friday. I'm setting up this machine. First time with the new series. The set-up says enter simulation with the front cover open to do dv calibration. From the main screen I press copy and I get a big message that says "Front Cover Open" that covers all the buttons. If I close the cover I get a message to install the toner cartridges. What am I missing? The manual is no help.

double tap the home button and then touch the VER when the meters pop up. You can then enter P,*,C,* and do 25-2

Also make sure you have the latest firmware and fuser mod. There is a ton of firmware fixes for these puppies.

And do NOT even touch the machine while it's stirring the DV. You'll botch it & have to add new DV. Been there, done that. Total BS !!
          Hope that helps !

Well I can say I'm quite happy to have not had ours interrupted during set up. What happened in your case, and why did you have to replace the DV?

Your supposed to take the toners out

Im guessing the machine got bumped and some toner fell down the pipe and overtoned your dv?

Actually it tells you to remove the toner if you try to run 25-2. As I explained to the hotline guy, the first time you replace the developer, there's going to be toner in the pipes. There's some glitch in the firmware that needs fixed. It's simply touching the display that screws it up. It gave us F2-41 & 42.
                Hope that helps !

In that case I will not touch the display
