Any kind of maintenance lights that are due can take the MFP offline.
    Hope that helps !

Issue 1. - Perform the following to check operation of NIC. Check link lights on NIC, Connect a laptop with crossover cable, Attempt to Ping network address, Attempt to access the machine webpage, check NIC is not disabled in system settings, double check IP address in system settings, Reset NIC in system settings if all above tests fail. Replace MFP (NIC onboard).

Issue 2. - To use a USB stick on a MX2310U to access data in document filing, the optional PCL Kit needs to be installed (MX-PB14). Without the PCL Kit installed, you cannot access a USB drive.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
