[CQ] LSU or Something Else - ARM350N

We have a Sharp AR-M350N that when making a copy or a print will:

    1) shifts the copied original image to the left edge so far, the left side of the image is cut-off

    2) "ghosts" the copied original image as an exact duplicate to the upper right of the original image but its very light and made of a lot of little dots

    3) the "ghost" image will be turned at a 45 degree angle (sometimes)

    4) there are black smudges (lots of little dots)

    5) the copy/print is enlarged

Now, I believe its the LSU and the dead give away are the dots (black smudges and the ghosting) but others say its impossible for a failing polygon motor to cause enlargements

Your thoughts anyone? (Doesn't a slower spinning polygon mirror "stretch the image"?)
It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop. –Confucius

    hi
is self print from the copier does same problem?
if does laser/poligone unit most likely faulty.
    cheers

PS-faulty poligone motor can cause funny outputs.

If it's second sides that have this most interesting quality problem you probably have a bad DF harness. See below:

Digital image breakup on 2nd side only of 2 to 2 duplex. Missing elements from first copy appear on next consecutive 2nd side (even with a different original). Broken up image is reduced by from 55% to 95% in feed direction only, crossfeed is always 100%. Defective DSPF harnass. Replace the DSPF harnass (DHAI-3166FC11).

        Does that sound similar? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
