I know it's an exposure lamp fault. Is it the lamp? Looks good to me. How would you ever get it out? Is there a thermal fuse to check?

You can check the lamp with sim 5-3. If it doesn't come on check connections of the ribbon cable. The next thing would be the bulb or the inverter PWB, Easiest way to change those is to pull the copy lamp unit out of the optics unit. The disassembly is on page 11-2 of the manual. -
Re: ARM 160 F5-02
I came across something similar on an AR-162S. The cause was a severely overloaded AC circuit which blew the MCU. It's rare, but worth mentioning:
"F5-02", "E7-05", occasionally clears, and copying can be resumed with no other symptoms on AR-162S. Copy Lamp, and CCD Black Level Reference errors, respectively. MCU PWB is damaged by dirty AC power (large inductive load very close). Replace the MCU PWB (CPWBX0096QSG2).
Note: MCU part number will be different on AR-M160. Also I'd start with the more obvious causes like brewster suggests. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
