    [Jamming] one more mx-2600n question

we have one mx-2600n i am looking at in the shop
it put out about ten copies then started jamming on right side at first delivery roller right above fuser exit
basically the same place the 450/455 have the pclr roller update white for metal collar
what is confucsing me are the brownish rollers on springs, they are not even touching the black rubber roller
    is this normal?
seems like they should pinch or something
thanks for yuor answers in advance

ps the gap is about 1/4 inch and the black roller is fixed with bearings so it cant float or anything

I just checked a machine in the warehouse, and the brown rollers are floating about 2-3mm from the fixed black rollers - what jam codes are you getting?

I just got this suggestion from an old friend of Copytechnet:

That situation and sequence of events is usually caused by a bad PTC unit.

He needs a new PTC unit DUNT-8051DS15 or the new one in the transfer belt kit.
Its also critical that the PTC unit is RESET in 24-04 after replacing this.

I'm assuming that PTC = primary transfer charge unit.
You can ask me for more details, and I'll tell you that this friend of Copytechnet is much more knowledgeable than myself, and that I cannot add anything to his comments. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

          Correction: PTC = pre-transfer charge
