    Cougar or Leopard?

So is this a Cougar or a Leopard? There is a huge difference between the AR-337 and an AR-237.

    =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

AR-287 is a Cougar. Though it's less common on the "7's", cold solder joints on the power supply can cause some very strange effects.

Remove the DC Power Supply and examine the solder joints for all of the larger power transistors, and the solder joints for the AC connectors. Magnification helps. Often the solder joints can be repaired. I have a 9 out of 10 success rate for repairs of these.

Also make sure that your ground to neutral at the wall is 0.5 vac or less. This also can cause some stange occurrances.

        Good Luck. =^..^=

Ooh! Good clues. This is ringing a bell.

When you have a bad PCU PWB one of the accessories will work really unpredictably, usually the RADF (not on the display, functions not available, errors, etc.). When the accessory is removed all function is restored (except for the accessory, of course).

I recall selling several Cougars without finishers just because that portion of the PCU was fried. Later on I was tasked with assembling two Cougars from the graveyard. The only problem was that I could not find two good PCU's of 10 corpses.

            Try the PCU. =^..^=
