[CQ] Sharp MX-M450 Partially blank pages.

We have a Sharp MX-M450 with partially blank pages. Customer says copy quality was fine, then started making almost completely blank to 3/4 blank, fading pages. I know the transfer drive gear can cause issues but usually don't see completely "blank" areas with that. Any help is appreciated. I have attached a pic of the current copy versus the day before occurrence.

Does it have the floor finisher? The finisher may be sitting on an unlevel floor and pulling the door open. Or the door may be just incompletely closed. Or the transfer gear could be really worn. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

yep left side door not shut all the way or customer pulled out the developer unit instead of the toner cartridge and dumped the developer out. How does the mag roller look?

        Thanks for the suggestions.

I will check those areas upon follow-up. Customer described as just "suddenly" went bad, no tampering from client and they are quite familiar with the general day to day key-op stuff as far as doors, supplies, etc. I read somewhere about DV tension springs causing blanks has anyone else seen that?

Not on this model. Transfer is most likely, possibly a pressure spring but more likely how the door fits.

It's generally a good idea to maintain a certain level of skepticism regarding the customers story. If they knew how to fix copiers they wouldn't be calling us. =^..^=

              hello
-first , you must chek if the mg roller is all covered with developer.
-if not, you will chek why? for miss, or chek the level of the copier.
-if yes, the first thing that cames in mind is, as blackat said the left door, do not close very wel, or something with the transfer roler.

              good luck

Re: Sharp MX-M450 Partially blank pages.

Update: Customer called this morning to cancel service call. They simply stated "...its working fine now"

This is after we worked with them via phone yesterday checking doors, toner, etc. Nothing helped, but overnight the copier gremlins must have left the building. I would have preferred to see the machine personally, in it's failed state because I'd like a definitive answer as to what was actually going on. Parts failure vs customer error.

We'll see what the future holds on this client. Thanks for the advice.

                  Thanks for following up.

And don't believe everything you hear. Just like techs, customers don't like to admin when they've done something stupid. My bet is that the front door was only latched at the front, not at the rear. And since it just sounds stupid they won't admit it ... and they'll never call for the same issue again. Guaranteed. =^..^=
