Have a clicking noise that I am familiar with. The normal fix is either changing out the Drum and if this hasn't work I have changed out the Drum Unit itself. Usually this does the trick, but today it continued. Question is has anyone had similar experience, and if so, what was your Fix? Appreciate any input -

Re: Sharp AR257
Did you check the toner? Sharps are very famous for "clicking" noises when the toner gets low. I am sorry if my response seems condescending, but sometimes we techs will miss the most obvious. -
Re: Sharp AR257
Have you looked at the gear on the rear frame that drives the fuser? Fuser Gear 19T: NGERH0090QSZ1
It will last 2 PM cycles. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: Sharp AR257
It's wonderfully easy to get to. Any of the other gears ... well that's another thing. Main drive disassembly.
If your gear is dark brown like dark chocolate, you might as well change it anyway, as the gear teeth will start breaking off any second. They start out as white Delrin. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
