[CQ] Sharp ARM 550 spots when scanning.

    Hi everyone,
I am having a problem with random spots showing up on my scans but copies look fine. If i scan a double sided original the side scanned by the doc feeder is fine but the optics side is spotty. I have cleaned the optics and the CCD. Also the scanned image appears to be shrunk just a bit which is putting a line down the left hand side of the image. I have looked through all of the settings on the web page and admin mode of the copier and cant figure out why the image is being reduced. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

Did you know that the Dragon1 has a single scan RADF? That is to say, there is a separate scanner inside the RADF solely for scanning the second side. And yes, it can get dirty just like the slit glass, and the white roller/white plate can get dirty too. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

The adjustments won't be showing on the web page or admin mode, they'll be in TCs 48 for magnification, 46 for density, and 50 for lead edge.
