[Misc] Odd white rectangle in every copy

    Good day,

I came across a strange issue on a Sharp ARM-277. Whether the customer prints from ADF, Glass, or PC; the image or document produced is missing toner about a half inch by 3 inches in the upper right hand corner about an inch and a half down the right side of every page. I've changed the fuser, PCU parts, developer. I've cleaned the optics, mirrors, latest firmware, I've cleaned the glass, checked cables, I'm at a loss. I've never seen this before on any copier. If anyone has any ideas, I'd be grateful.

    Regards,

How do internal reports look? Prints? Scans? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Even reports, scans, images, forms, copies, they all have a white rectangle from right to left about 3 inches long x 1/2 inch

        1) I think I'd re-seat the ribbon cable to the laser
        2) Replace ribbon cable
        3) Replace laser

Sounds like a label is stuck somewhere (usually on the drum or fuser roller), but you changed those parts; laser as BC says or IMC pwb.

If it was a label, Zootech, it should appear twice on LTR or three times on LTR-R, repeating at 96mm intervals, and it would not stay at the leading edge. It would walk. =^..^=

Thanks for waking me up - it's been one of those days when everyone has been on my arse about setups, shop repairs, and walk-ins.

Check the scanner rail is lubed and it doesn't jump upward/vertical due to gunk on the rail.
I have seen similar in dusty workshop machines.

From the above posts, it's not a scanner/optics problem; so, I'll go back to the IMC pwb as an option.

Check the memory on the IMC PWB

Check your mag roller in dev unit too. I've seen these things do voodoo.

Has any one replaced the paper feed roller in tray 1? If so I would check those 3 plastic screws to ensure all are tight. You can visually look and make sure that cover is flush all the way across. If that cover is raised it will cause trouble as you have indicated ..

I have seen this happen a couple times on similar models. One was mag roller one was transfer roller. If its happening on internal prints, such as 22-6 report, then it more than likely is not the laser.
