    FN20 ISSUE

Have a FN-20 fin. that when saddle stitching the papers dont line up the top sheet is off . We tried the same paer on a FN-24 and it works great. It also works on a MXM623 saddle stitch finisher. This a new unit. The paper is 11x17 28lb super smooth. Any ideas of what to try? Thanks

      Re: FN20 ISSUE

Everybody I talked to at sharp thinks it is strictly a paper issue. The customer is changeing to a different paper.

          I modifiyed the crescent rollers
in the lower exit part of the finisher
by removing the rubber tire and adding a flapper ,

          no problems yet
it seems to be a paper issue
I will post pics and part #s

the roller is in the bottom of the finisher at the saddle exit tray
you can remove the tape that covers the hole and open exit door with a pair of pliers
            I removed the rubber tire
cut a slot in the hub and added the
flapper, I did trim the flapper down just enough to touch the paper
the paper that we are running it 28lb hammermill
as far as I can tell the rollers never touch
and I think it is a static issue
            with the paper
            this fixed the issue
part # for the flapper is 0cw4141p320// paddle

Those adj. didn't help us. We ended up making new rollers as described above. Just went about it differently.

Out of curiosity, where did this bulletin originate? First time I'm seeing this.
