Have a customer that is getting lines only on their outgoing faxes, received faxes clean, copies clean, prints clean. I sent a fax to my office and it had lines going across the page I also sent one from just the glass and it still had lines but not as bad. I checked and cleaned the ADF, the slip glass, the glass itself everything seems to check out except for when I send the fax. Any ides a out there? thanks.

Did you clean the rest of the optics, mirrors, lens, reflectors, and white plates?If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Clean your optics... Copier/fax class 101, if the problem persists then make your exposure adjustments.Comment

It's Monday
but as already been said, clean the rest of the optics, test with manual dark exposure, adjust exposure in simulation if needed. Auto exposure may be hiding a problem that shows with exposure setting (46-12) for fax.
