    Sharp AR M455

I have a customer with a Sharp AR M455 that has the Security package on it. I don't think it showed this when I set it up. The accept the last page scanned screen comes on when copying from the glass. So you have to accept this screen every time you want to print. Two steps, they don't like it. Can this be removed. Not sure when it became active and cant seem to get rid of it.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

This normally only pops up when 2-sided copying is selected. Make sure the machine isn't defaulted to make 2-sided copies.

If you lift the lid, place paper, close the lid and hit start it should make the copy with no further button presses. The data security kit has nothing to do with that.

    Hope this helps.

        There's that too...if that's what you're referring to.
I thought you were talking about the "Read End" button when copying from the glass that pops up BEFORE you hit the start button.

Go into system setting, key operations, copy setting, initial default setting, output and select auto. That should get rid of your message when you copy from the glass on single sided.

          Good luck

PS may not be the exact path directions but it will get you in the ballpark.

Maybe I'm not explaining it correctly.
You cannot place an original on the glass and push the print button and a copy comes out.
After hitting the print button, the screen asks if this is the last page to be scanned. You have to acknowledge this before the machine will give you a copy.
I think because it stores the image or images before printing multiple copies. But they only want one copy and want to hit the copy button and be done.
            Thanks.

It sounds like the machine is in scan mode by default, instead of copy mode default.

I understand "exactly" what you are describing. Maybe you should try my post settings. What's the worst that can happen!

Bil is correct. There is SOME default function that has been changed that requires the machine to know when the last page is scanned. Whether it's duplex, stapling, grouping etc. This doesn't just happen on it's own, someone has changed it.
                  Hope that helps !
