    eStudio 5055c ADF

    Hi,

Being new to Toshiba this might seem like a stupid question. I have two machines which, in copy mode only, start automatically from the ADF without pressing the start button. How do I turn this off? I can't find it in the service manual or the user functions.

    Thanks,

    Chris

I fixed this, you'll be wholly indifferent to know. I'll try to keep my input limited to the Ricoh forum from now on, people seem far more forthcoming there.

I would be interested to know actually. I didn't answer because I didn't know the answer. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

        As above.

I think you will likely find the lack of response isn't from interest but rather this is an unheard of issue, as far as I am aware this isn't a setting or feature of Toshiba MFDs (and I have literally read the entire 08 code list in most manuals).

The only option for auto-start I am aware of is when using a Template.
No, I will not send you Manuals, Software or your own little repair Genie to fix all your problems for you.

You might be surprised to know that I only attempt to answer when I have a useful suggestion, or when I want to be a jerk. Since neither applied in this case ... no response. =^..^=

Also, posting a question on a Friday afternoon and expecting an answer on a Saturday is a bit odd. By 3PM Friday I'm not really thinking about work and I'm definitely not going to think about it over the weekend. But insulting the guys on the Toshiba threads will go a long way in ensuring a quicker response in the future.
Why does every customer think they're the first one to ever say: "you've been here so much we should get you an office, ha, ha, ha"?
