I don't have samples at this time. After about 30-40 copies into a run, the colors start to pick off and stain the back. This is 24lb bond they've always run. If I have them run it on thick 1 it's fine. I did a total fuser rebuild, no difference. Took a fuser from a known good shop machine, same problem. I see a lot of temp settings in the 08 mode but I have no idea which to try since the manual doesn't explain what the settings are. All my "training" on these is OJT. Any Toshiba aces out there to give me a hand? Try and post samples in the morning if needed.

Just out of curiosity, is there a reason you cannot select thick1? Broken finger maybe? =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Did you tighten the pressure springs

That slows the copier down. Then you get "we never had to do that before". They're right. 24lb should be fine on plain paper. Any clue as to what the 08 fuser settings mean?Comment

Re: Toshiba 5520C appears to be fusing problem
You must be using plain1 which is 17-20# bond. You're going to need to use a heavier media type setting. Plain2 is the correct choice for 21 to 28# bond. Take a gander at your Copying Guide for suitable media types.
I just had another thought. When you rebuilt the fuser did you remember to re-tension the fuser pressure springs? It's easy to forget, and you might get these symptoms.Last edited by blackcat4866; 12-30-2015, 02:01 AM.If you'd like a serious answer to your request:

Re: Toshiba 5520C appears to be fusing problem
Blackcat,
you are correct as usual. These color machines have more settings than
I care to think about, but when it comes to the fuser on a color machine
the temp needs to be correct.
I explain it this way to my customers.
You buy a car that is suppose to get 20MPG. It is actually getting 25MPG.
Then it drops down to the rated MPG. Is it broken?
