[Error Code] E257 F106 error, now it keeps rebooting

Customer called with an F106 error. When I got there I could not get into any service modes, 3C, 4C, 08, even tried updating firmware, 49.

About a minute or so into the Toshiba ribbon screen it just shuts down and reboots.....

There was a power outage a couple days prior but the customer has been using it for a day since.

I don't see any bad capacitors or fuses.... at a loss here....

Usually the f100's are hdd related but based on what you are describing it could be a bad board, memory module or nvram issue..

I do not have the book in front of me to look the code up.
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

Your only solution is a new HDD

Wipe Drive + Firmware. You'll want to follow the procedure in the service manual. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
