    Toshiba 5540c colored line across page after start up

    Hello,
    IM working on a Toshiba e-studio 5540c and this machine seems to be very temperamental.One of the problems i have encountered with it has been a line or mixed colors across the center of the page after it starts up. The line only lasts about 4 copies then goes away. I have registered and calibrated the machine changed the transfer belt cleaning blade. the problem still persists. I have not found anything in the manual about this problem. Thank you.

      Do you have any samples for me to look at? =^..^=
      If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

                  it sounds like remains of the auto calibration pattern after start up in your book you will find the 08 code to shut off auto calibration try that and see if it goes away

                      ... or you could figure out why the primary transfer belt is not cleaning off the color registration patches properly. Shutting off auto calibration won't solve a belt cleaning issue. =^..^=

                          shutting off auto cal was not meant to be a fix but to troubleshoot the problem by process of elimination after the problem is solved auto cal should be turned back on
