I'm battling the same issue right now. In my case I have traced the harnesses and wires all the way back to J334 on the LGC board. Each time I clear 400 (which always has an 8 in it), as soon as the machine heats up ... pow ... C46. (Pow is my imaginary sound effects, it doesn't actually make a noise). I replaced the lower thermistor yesterday and got the machine going, then today same thing C46. I am going back tomorrow with a logic board ... but I would appreciate some help with this thread as well. I hope you don't mind me hitch-hiking on your thread tipsanders. -
Got this rascal fixed. There was a break in a wire in the wire harness which goes from the main connector on the fuser to the lower pressure roller thermistor. It was testing good on my meter because when I'd take it off to place my leads the wire would touch; but when I'd connect it the wire would shift apart in the insulation and loose continuity. A new harness corrected the problem.Comment
