    [Dead] Toshiba ES 455 False door open message

    Had this machine delivered today and it was working when it left the dealer when I got it has a false door open message. Is there anything obvious I should look for. The sensors are engaged when the door closes. I re-seated the connectors on the controller board. a little stumped here... Any ideas would be very helpful...       You might check to see if there is a problem with the duplex section doorswitch, inside the rear of the duplex unit. It is surprisingly easy to forget to plug in the doorswitch when reinstalling the cover.

      You might also check to see if the front doorstrap is broken, blocking the right door from closing. You'll also get severe (35mm) paper skew and E010, E020 jams. =^..^=
      If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

          When I open the duplex, I get another message to close it. When closed it goes back to close the front door message... I will check out what you said. Really sweatin this one. Machine was supposed to work ... lol

              With the Duplex open "cheat" your interlock switches. You may have a broken actuator. If memory serves me you have 2 on front door and 3 on right side.

                  That was the problem... A broken actuator. The actuator was physically there but when you would touch it, it would fold over... Thanks so much for you feedback !!
