    Toshiba es3540c Cut and paste

    Hello

    I have that I have not seen before. This is very intermittent. Every so often when copying one of the copies in the set is for lack of a better description cut and pasted. It looks like the image is cut in half from top to bottom. The right hand side is correct and the other side is cut in half again and the top half is on the bottom and the bottom half is on the top. I am attaching a sample. Thank you in advance for any help.

      I've seen a laser cause this on a eS356. It's a monochrome MFP but I think the theory still holds true. Also a loose laser connector caused this on an eS4520C. My theory of the HDD or memory was dead wrong. Neither helped.

      I've also seen this on a Kip 7170. The customer was experiencing a brownout, so they thought it would be a good idea to send a bunch of jobs to the plotter. When I arrived we were getting bits and pieces of various jobs, even internal prints were affected. I simply shut down the plotter and print server, then booted back up the plotter and print server separately. It has not re-occurred. =^..^=

      If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

          I have experienced something similar where the image appeared to be cut and pasted. What we found after trying many things including changing the laser unit was that one of the imaging units was experiencing some sort of voltage leak but wasn't causing any other issue. After replacing imaging units the problem went away.

            remove th black mylar of main chargers Y, M, C and K.
            if the problem occurs then:
            (1) Changing the offset amount of the 1st transfer bias
            Reduce the offset level by 20% so that the influence of positive discharge

            05-2905-0 to 5 (Normal speed) : Adjustment value 5 -> 1
            05-2905-6 to 11 (Decelerating): Adjustment value 5 -> 1

            (2) Changing the contrast voltage offset correction setting
            Increase the contrast voltage by 80 V

            08-2513-0 to 3 (Normal speed): Setting value 5 -> 9
            08-2514-0 to 3 (Decelerating) : Setting value 5 -> 9
