    Doc feeder...8 1/2 by 11 long edge when scanning...comes out like post card!Short edge comes out fine...Off the glass fine...only from doc feeder. Not sure what is causing this newbee...help

    Are you saying that the image has not been properly rotated to suit the paper? =^..^=
    If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

      No when scanning on feeder...long edge...scans like post ...does not recognize the size

        If your originals are being sized incorrectly from the ADF I would check the proper operation of your size guides on the ADF. There are small copper fingers that come in contact with a circuit board and as the size guides are moved it tells the ADF what size original is loaded. Sometimes those fingers can break loose from their mount and cause the issue you might be having. You can check them in 03 mode. Power up in 03 press Start / make sure fax button is lit/ press 8. Then open your side guides all the way and slowly move them towards the center. C should be highlighted first, then as you move to the next size B then B+C then A+C.
