This machine keeps giving the cd 70 error. we have replaced waste bottles, the old ones were not close to full or did not seem locked up,can see nothing wrong with them. We replaced the entire waste transport auger system from the drive motor to the auger into the waste bottle. We replaced the motor also. We reseated the connectors on the boards. Dont know if there is a firmware fix for this or if there is a tech bulliten at all. If not it seems like a board issue.

There is nothing in firmware that I see(did a search for waste and cd70, nothing shows) but your issue might be the famous "Gorilla applied wire-ties". Cut all those wire ties on that motor and sensor back to the logic board. I'm thinking you will find one that was so tight, it cut into the insulation of several wires. -

It could also be bad photointerrupters. That series was famous for it and I've replaced many in the waste toner assembly to fix that exact issue.Why does every customer think they're the first one to ever say: "you've been here so much we should get you an office, ha, ha, ha"?Comment

Thanks for the replies. I went out there today and I replaced sensors and cut the cable ties off. I ran a lot to test copies and code did not come back yet. Time will tell.Comment

1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
