    MJ-1112

I have this finisher on a 7506AC. When the covers are closed, the entrance motor, exit motor and transport motors are locked up.

What do you mean exactly? Doe it jams in the entrance or do you have a jam code?

It will do this at idle. It's like the stepper motors are get a forward and reverse signal at the same time. When going to make a copy through the finisher, the entrance motor just starts chattering. At idle the motors are hard to turn manually when the covers are closed. Feels like you're trying to turn the motor in the opposite direction of where it want's to go. They're like this in both directions.

I've seen transport motors going bad on the older finishers for xBP series and the bushings getting gummy slowing down the transport rollers, this on high millage machines.

By now I believe you took care of this issue, but on these models the bushings lock up on the shafts that move entrance system. Lubricate them and move the manually both ways until it feels smooth and easy to operate for a small 24v motor and give it a test. I suggest you replace the bushings with upgraded ones that have injected oil, good luck.
