    [Misc] Toshiba e-Studio 2500AC - Humming noise

We have two e-Studio 2500AC MFPs.
    Both have issues.

The one in our front office began to make a constant humming noise coming from the front right side of the unit.
(picture attached - arrow indicating the source area of the sound)

Anyone have an idea about this?

    Thanks

Unfortunately, I am having a hard time finding a qualified Toshiba service tech***

yes it is the noisy fan, just take it apart and put a drop of oil on the motor shaft

I'm going to take a guess that you've got a fan F3 vibrating. If you press on the cover right there, you can damp the vibration. It's located right here:

      Also F3.jpg

Under the cover it looks like this:

The vibration is annoying, but does no real harm (except perhaps to your sanity).
      Is that it?

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

When customers would call me for a noise, I would tell them to turn on a radio loud enough to drown out the noise.

TSB-1815 I think only applies to the 5005AC series, but might be worth a try if is the same issue.

The better fan in the TSB has solved this issue - i lubed a few but the noise would return. So far all the ones i have install the new fan in have stayed quiet.
