Hi , so i got a Toshiba 357 that jams around entering the fuser and gives E010. So there is a grind as it stops , , and it seems like the trailing edge is folded as though maybe the registration kept pushing for a bit after the jam. I went over there the other day and it did it , so i took off the back cover to get a better listen , and all of a sudden it never did it again , ran hundreds of simplex and duplex without a problem or a peep. Then later in the day they call back and say its doing it again. Any ideas? The gear on the machine side of the fuser seems good and the fuser moves good and seems fine. Could this be a sensor issue and it just grinds as it is comming to a halt? Thus , why it would all of a sudden run fine for a while ? I mean if something was bad enough physically to cause the grind and halt , you would think it would not all of a sudden be able to run hundreds or copies fine . Thanks

Re: Toshiba Estudio 357 E010 jam
Irony: Well there are only a lot of things that can cause E010 jams on a Loire, LoireX, or Loire2X. Lets see if I can remember a few:
*The drum drive pin might be snapped off on both sides of the drum drive shaft. The simple test is to open the right door, and see if the drum will rotate with your thumb. If yes, you'll need a 2.5mm x 14mm spring pin.
*The drum drive belt may be delaminating.
*Fuser drive gear 26/20 might be worn. It's easy to identify, harder to get to (behind that drum drive pack).
*The registration clutch might be slipping. Pay attention if your image is late on the paper, no leading edge void. You may need to adjust printing leading edge registration and printing leading edge void, once you have the new clutch in there.
*The lower bypass guide might be warped out, delaying paper passage from all trays excepting the bypass. Pay attention to an oval wear mark on the black lower bypass guide 83mm x 5mm. The jammed page will have a compressed image without leading edge void.
*If only from tray #2, the lower vertical paper path clutch might be slipping.
*Front door strap may be broken, preventing the door from closing correctly at the front. Remove the unattached pieces of strap.
*Flattened separation roller.
There's (8) possibilities. The first (3) might account for the noise and intermittency.
=^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
