    Toshiba E-studio 2540c error C3B0

Called my local service tech place and they no longer service this machine. So need some help. B/W print fine. If I do any color print it jams in the fuser and gives the error code c3B0. It then says call for service and I have to shut the machine down. It finish the whole color print and I can remove it but need to restart the printer. I tried cleaning the developer. I read it’s the yellow. Any suggestions on what I can try? I am very technically inclined. I work on all sorts of electonics. There’s just not to much info out on this that I can find.

    thanks.

Like your local service provider, I decline to service this model, offically no longer supported by the manufacturer since 2019. Parts are no longer available and most dealers would remove any old inventory to the metal recycler.

This copier model was overly complicated and difficult to diagnose.

Time to re-evaluate your needs and upgrade to a new or decent used colour copier with low colour meters.

Right now all I use this for is to print b/w bingo cards. Hundreds of them for our jukebox bingo night at my bar. So it really does handle my needs now. Just last night I want to print a flyer. I have a regular brother printer but I wanted to print more than usual so I thought I would try the Toshiba. That’s when I noticed the problem with the color. Now I could easily be like well I only need this for b/w really so I could just leave it. But I get fixated on things and I wanted to look into this more. Now if I need to spend $500 on parts I’m not looking to do that. But if it’s something simple like a developer not sitting correctly or something dirty then I can easily handle that. So on that note anyone know how to pull these developers out.

Given the age of that machine mid 2010's, the developer had most likely outlived its useful life. The sensor in the developer unit that measures the ratio of carrier to toner is not sensing it correctly. The material has to most likely be replaced, and calibrated again. Not to mention the drum(s) are probably past their life as well.
Also, these machines keep running counts of "clicks" and adjust the bias voltages for the charge, bias etc to help maintain copy quality through the life of the
consumables. Sadly, many techs do NOT reset those things when they change consumables, which cause those voltage levels to keep changing, which can
decrease the life of the consumables.
As said before, that machine needs to be retired. There aren't any OEM consumables for that, and most non OEM supplies are probably old and won't last even
          if you did replace them.

C3B0 is yellow developer related error, very likely as Rusty has said the yellow developer material has been depleted and will need to be replaced, re-initialised and calibration done.

You can think of the developer material as like the oil on a car engine, eventually it becomes depleted or contaminated and needs to be drained and replaced.

Seems third party and even genuine yellow developer is around $200-$250 (which is cheap, it used to be about $500).

It will be obvious if the material has depleted, when you pull out the EPU assembly and separate the drum and developer tank you will notice a stripey pattern on the magnetic roller, you may also notice a stripey pattern in colour prints.

There was also a very common cause of pre-mature developer drainage on these machines due to the blank erasure LED PCB traces eroding causing some or all of the red LEDS to not light up, an in the field fix was to repair the damaged traces with a soldering iron.
No, I will not send you Manuals, Software or your own little repair Genie to fix all your problems for you.

Sorry mojorolla, it's yellow developer, but in the end there's no fix. There's no D-FC25-Y developer to get anywhere. If by some miracle you can get any color D-FC25 developer it can be made to work (D-FC25-C, D-FC25-M, D-FC25-Y, D-FC25-K). =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
              1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
              2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
              3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
              4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
              5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
