[Error Code] File Storage Error when scanning cash

    Greetings,
    I have a Toshiba e-Studio4515AC copier.
When we scan documents and cash (customers paying in cash) we get error code "File Storage Error".
If we cover the sides of the cash, it scans fine. This problem started this week when we did not have this issue in the past.
Scan setting is scan to folder on server.

    Thanks!
    WIlliam

Reduce the size of the scan document to 75% or enlarge it to 125% and see if it will scan.
Most "money" won't scan for obvious reasons. I've heard that if you reduce or enlarge it will
scan correctly, but don't quote me on that. It's just something I've heard over the years.

The other feature that you can enable to get around that error is B&W scan. Unauthorized originals will cause errors in scanning, and copying. That included money, certificates, bonds, all kinds of financial instruments.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I will have the user try both suggestions and will get back to you.
Thank you so much to this forum.

A LONG time ago, we had a funny one. Konica...got a call that the machine locked up when scanning. Went by to find out what happened.
Well, they were scanning money....it was a POLICE department...undercover drug buy & wanted to copy the bills for proof. We had to have
a Konica rep come by to get it back up and going.
