    Estudio 4514AC EB60 code

    Greetings,

    I am in need of some help with an error code on a Tosh 4515ac, EB60 transport error.
    Printing from the top two trays seems fine. However when print from the LCF it jams just under the metal reg roller and one in the duplex unit.
    So far I have replaced the LCF rollers, clutch and torque limiter. Removed the right hand door and cleaned though including rubber roller. Removed reg sensor and cleaned, removed transport sensors and cleaned. cleaned lower transport rollers.
    Sensor check in 03 test mode checked out ok for reg sensor and transport sensors.
    The only thing I can think of now is the transport clutches.

    Has anyone had this before?

      The only time that I've see EB60's is on the Broadpeak series. It occurred during duplexing. The problem was media bleached with chlorine, causing the exit rollers to disintegrate. I'd start by looking at the condition of the exit rollers, if there is proper pressure on the exit rollers, and if the drive is turning properly.
      If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

          On the old EBX machines with the LCF, we had to LOWER the alignment value for the feed from the LCF because it was causing EB-60's.
          Perhaps you are getting too much buckle at the alignment roller and it popping up the registration sensor?

              Does it make a grinding noise before jamming? I've had a few of these machines lately jam on the right side. There would be a grinding noise. Removed the registration motor assy and added lube. Solved the issue.

                  Can't remember if was the exact code but I had to grease and check for the correct operation of the mechanism that lowers or retracts the pickup roller arm when the LCF tray is closed or open. If you take out the feed unit you can see it at the back, the grease can be dusty and gummy.

                      Thanks for the responses.
                      There doesn't seem to be any grinding noise when it jams.
                      Will look into those alignment values when I return.
                      Also I did give the lcf assembly and good clean, removing any paper dust or excess grease. Thinking whether the one way bearing on the feed roller shaft needs replacing. Usually would rough up the shaft and clean the bearings but hasn't made any difference.
